Tell us what you’re trying to solve.
The first conversation is a working one. We want to understand the decision in front of you, what you have already tried, and what the answer has to survive — so that by the end of it, you know whether this is work we should do together, and so do we.
There are two ways in. Write it out, or talk it through. Neither is a queue, and neither ends in a pitch.
Send us the details
Fill in the form below with the situation as you see it. We read every one ourselves and reply with either a set of questions, a direct answer, or an honest note that this is not our work.
Best when the problem takes a paragraph to explain, several people need to weigh in, or you would rather think it through in writing first.
Book a call directly
Pick a time on the calendar and talk it through with Dr. Jones. No intake call, no qualifying round — the first conversation is the conversation.
Best when the situation is easier to describe out loud, you are weighing a decision on a deadline, or you would rather just ask.
Before you write
What makes the first reply useful.
None of this is required. But the more of it we have, the less of the first conversation gets spent gathering it — and the sooner we can say something you don’t already know.
- The decision you are facing. Not the symptom, if you can help it — the thing you have to choose.
- What you have already tried. Including what didn’t work, which is often the more useful half.
- Who else has a stake in it. Board, team, partners, funders, customers.
- What the answer has to survive. Budget, timeline, capacity, politics, regulation.
- When you need to decide. A real date, if there is one.
What happens next
Three steps, and you can stop at any of them.
We read it
Your inquiry comes to Dr. Jones directly. No intake team, no routing, no form response written by someone who hasn’t read it.
We reply
Usually with questions, because the first framing is rarely the final one. Sometimes with a direct answer that costs you nothing.
We talk
A working conversation about the problem itself. If there is a fit, we scope it. If there isn’t, we will say so and point you somewhere better.
If the honest answer is that you don’t need us, that is a perfectly good outcome of a first conversation.
The form
Tell us about the problem.
Take as much room as you need. If you would rather talk it through, book a time instead.
